The Army’s 323rd Infantry Battalion’s Mobile Task Force “Buaya Putih” (White Crocodile) stationed at Mayuberi Post is continuing to devote itself to the children of rural Papua by holding teaching and learning activities in emergency schools. This took place in North Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, on Wednesday (31/07/2024).
The Task Force’s Territorial Section Officer, Lieutenant Dani explained that the 323rd infantry Battalion Task Force will always provide teaching in the emergency school that has been built at Mayuberi Post for the education of Papuan inland children.
“We will continue to teach in this emergency school for the sake of children in the interior of Papua,” he said.
Lieutenant Dani added that the teaching activities carried out aim to realise the dreams of children who want to go back to school but are hindered by limited facilities, long distances, and their economic conditions. These emergency schools allow the children in Papua’s remote regions to get proper education they otherwise would not be able to.
“The soldiers we mobilise as teaching staff have previously been trained in advance so that they have the necessary skills at the basic level,” he explained.
According to Lieutenant Dani, the children in Mayuberi Village are very enthusiastic about the teaching and learning activities held by the Task Force.
“The children are very excited and enthusiastic about this teaching and learning activity,” he concluded.
