In an effort to foster a spirit of learning among the young generation of Papua, personnel from the Damai Cartenz-2025 Operation held a book-sharing and play activity with children on Pemuda Street, Kamoro Jaya Village, Mimika Baru District, Mimika Regency, on Saturday (1/6/2025).
This educational and humanitarian activity was directly led by First Inspector I Gde Pradana, S.Ds., along with two of his members, starting at 10:30 WIT until noon. In addition to distributing reading books, the personnel also directly engaged in playing and learning activities with the local children.
The Head of the Damai Cartenz-2025 Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, accompanied by the Deputy Head of the Operation, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, stated that this activity is part of the Police’s humanistic approach to encourage the spirit of learning and strengthen ties with the Papuan community, especially children.
“We want the children in Mimika to remain enthusiastic about pursuing knowledge and achieving their dreams.” “Through activities like this, the National Police are here to support their future,” said Police Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.
The atmosphere of joy was palpable as the children received books, played football with the personnel, and enjoyed candies and small gifts that were distributed. This warm interaction became a delightful and meaningful moment for the children in the area.
The Head of Public Relations Task Force for Ops Damai Cartenz-2025, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., stated that the community’s response was very positive. The children appeared enthusiastic and happy with the presence of the security personnel, who came not only as law enforcement officials but also as friends.
“The presence of our personnel brings joy to the children. This is a tangible form of the police’s care and commitment to supporting their growth and development,” said Police Commissioner Yusuf.
Similar activities are planned to continue in various regions of Papua as part of the Damai Cartenz Operation’s commitment to realizing peace, education, and a better future for the children of Papua.
