Lake Inggana, a Natural Tourist Attraction in Biak

Biak Numfor Regency has many beautiful and interesting tourist attractions to visit. One of them is Telaga Inggana or Lake Inggana, located in Kakur village, Oridek District, Biak, Papua.

Lake Inggana is a tourist attraction that formed naturally since ancient times and has been preserved through generations until now. This was stated by the manager of Lake Inggana tourism, Sefanya Sukan, when interviewed by RRI some time ago. It was said that Lake Inganna offers beautiful natural scenery with refreshing clear water and has started to be frequently visited by the public since 2020.

The origin of Lake Inggana has existed since the ancestors inhabited the village of Kakur, and it has become a family asset until now. Lake Inggana began to be recognized by the public since 2020 and has been frequently visited by tourists to witness its beauty. In the area of Lake Inggana, there are still no facilities because it is being preserved naturally,” he said.

As a tourist destination that maintains its natural beauty, the management urges visitors to help preserve the Inganna Lake tourist spot by not damaging the site and keeping the area clean.

“The entrance fee is 10,000 rupiah per person, there are no special rules, just urging visitors to maintain the cleanliness of the Inganna lake area so that it remains clean, safe, and enjoyable for all the community,” he added.

Lake Inggana has become another natural tourist attraction in Biak and can be recommended for a vacation. This natural tourist attraction is open to visitors every day from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a travel time of about one hour from the city centre.
