This writing is not just a welcome for visitors, but also reflects the strong spirit of nationalism embedded in the hearts of the Fakfak community. The long history of the struggle of the people of Fakfak under the leadership of Krapangit Gewab is one of the reasons why every November 16 is commemorated as an important day in Fakfak.

On this date, the community celebrates two significant events, namely the establishment of the Fakfak Regency government and the commemoration of Fakfak City as a city of struggle.
In addition to its historical value, Tubir Seram Island also holds potential for marine tourism that can be further developed. Its pristine natural beauty makes it suitable for activities such as snorkelling, diving, or simply relaxing while enjoying the sea panorama.
