Preserving Papua’s Natural Wealth

This extraordinary biodiversity makes Papua a region of great importance for global nature conservation. However, unfortunately, many endemic species in Papua are threatened by human activities, such as illegal logging, land clearing for agriculture, and uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources.

Therefore, the protection of Papua’s forest areas and other natural habitats is very important to ensure that these natural riches can be enjoyed not only by the current generation but also by future generations.

Various conservation institutions and the Indonesian government have worked hard to preserve the natural environment of Papua, but support from the international community is also greatly needed.

Through efforts in conservation and sustainable natural resource management, we can ensure that the treasure trove of Papua’s endemic species remains discoverable on this island rich in biodiversity. Papua is a treasure trove of global biodiversity, housing various endemic species, especially the Bird of Paradise, which symbolizes the beauty and natural wealth of this island.

The diversity of ecosystems in Papua—from tropical rainforests to grasslands and beautiful beaches—makes it one of the most important places for the preservation of flora and fauna.

By preserving Papua and its natural wealth, we are not only conserving existing species but also helping to maintain the balance of the world’s ecosystem.
