TNI Task Force Distributes Stationery and Bags in Papua

As part of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia celebrations and as a form of TNI solidarity in carrying out tasks in Papua, the Infantry Battalion (Yonif) 122 / Tombak Sakti (TS) Kalilapar Post Task Force distributed aid to children in the Waris district, Keerom Regency, Papua, Saturday (24/08/2024).

Kalilapar Post’s Deputy Commander, First Sergeant. Ong Jordan Simbolon said, the assistance distributed to children in the form of food, school supplies and stationery.

‘The distribution of this assistance is a form of gratitude for our Task Force personnel on the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, at the end of this assignment we continue to serve and help the Papuan border community as much as we can,’ said the Deputy Commander.

Meanwhile, Task Force Commander Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Diki Apriadi explained, the main task of the Task Force is to maintain the integrity of the RI-PNG land border area, also has additional duties, namely all soldiers carry out territorial activities that are, build, serve, and protect people who need help in each of their respective posts.

On the same occasion, Jhoni Maunda, a community leader of Kalilapar Village expressed his gratitude for the 79th Indonesian Independence Day and his deepest gratitude to the TNI personnel of the Task Force for their care and assistance to children in the village.

‘Thank you TNI, this assistance is very useful so that our children can be more diligent in school,’ concluded Jhoni Maunda.
