The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Logistics Warehouse Construction Security Task Force (Satgas) Infantry Battalion (Yonif) 751/VJS, and State Electricity Company (PLN) Persero in collaboration carried out electricity installation activities on Wednesday (14/8).
The PLN electricity installation was carried out in Agandugume District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province. This step is an effort to improve the welfare of the community.
During this time, Agandugume residents have never experienced lighting or electricity. Now, at night residents can enjoy the light thanks to the efforts of PLN and the TNI to install electricity in residents’ homes.
Commander of the Yonif 751/VJS Task Force Lieutenant Colonel Inf Erwan Harliantoro, SH, M.Han explained that the lighting was presented in the form of an electric power distribution device (APDAL) and an electric energy charging station (SPEL). These two tools, said Erwan, are expected to help the community in carrying out their day-to-day activities, especially at night.
‘When carrying out security duties in Agandugume we always try to help the community. One of ways is by distributing assistance from the government, in this case PLN, in the form of lighting,’ Erwan Harliantoro told Odiyaiwuu.com from Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, Wednesday (14/8).
According to Mr Harliantoro, electricity from the PLN programme with the Indonesian Army is expected to improve the welfare of the community. The programme of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation together with PT PLN Persero in the form of Electrical Power Delivery Devices (APDAL) and Electric Energy Charging Station (SPEL) aims to help the community. He hopes there will be more assistance for Agandugume residents.
‘Residents in several districts around Agandugume are also still expecting electricity and clean water assistance. Around September, fog and haze usually descend, causing extreme temperatures and very cold nights,’ Erwan said.
