TNI Distributes Basic Necessities to Residents of Nduga, Highland Papua

The Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Para Raider 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, one of the TNI Operations Command (Koops TNI) Units in Papua, is distributing basic necessities while carrying out the task of RI-PNG Mobile Border Security Operations (Opspamtas), especially in the Nduga Regency area, Highland Papua Province Tuesday (9/7/2024).

The Yonif 432 Kostrad Task Force Patrol Team carried out security patrols in the Mbuwa District area, precisely Otalama Village. On the sidelines of security activities, TNI Soldiers had the opportunity to distribute free basic necessities to residents who were encountered along the patrol route.

Commander of the Yonif 432 Kostrad Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Zulfikar Akbar Helmi, emphasized to his men the importance of the Task Force’s attention to the basic needs of the community in the task area.

Therefore, before the patrol began, the Mbuwa Post led by Infantry First Lt. Fahrizal, prepared several packages of basic necessities to be distributed to the residents.

Once ready, the Patrol Team set off on patrol and still prioritised the safety factor in carrying out the distribution of basic necessities to the residents.

When the distribution of basic necessities was carried out, the Otalama residents who received it expressed their joy with big smiles while expressing their gratitude. A respected Papuan elder in Otalama Village, named Anton Gwijangge, expressed his gratitude and thanks.

“Praise God, the 432 Commander, thank you for the food. May God bless you soldiers,” he said.

“The initiative of the Yonif 432 Kostrad Task Force to distribute basic necessities in Otalama Village is an effort of the TNI to provide basic needs services, supporting the acceleration of development in the Papua region,” said the TNI Koops Commander, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, after receiving a report on the implementation of the activity.
