The Task Force of the Raider 509/Balawara Yudha Infantry Battalion of the Army Strategic Reserve Command (Yonif 509 Kostrad Task Force) conducted free door to door medical treatment for the residents of Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua. The health services were provided during routine patrols by the officers.
“The Yonif 509 Kostrad Task Force held a territorial event entitled door to door mobile medicine while on patrol,” said Koops Habema Commander, Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto in his statement to detikcom, Sunday (23/6/2024).
The free medical treatment was held in Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Saturday (22/6). Lucky said the Task Force provided a variety of health services in the form of general health checks to vitamin administration.
“The mobile medical service this time includes general health checks, treatment of minor illnesses, vitamin administration, and education about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and living a healthy lifestyle,” he explained.
The activity was carried out to help solve the residents’ difficulties in accessing health services, like health checks,” said Lucky after carrying out routine patrols.
“In carrying out its routine tasks, the Yonif 509 Kostrad Task Force actively conducts security patrols, and the Yonif 509 Kostrad Task Force medical team joins the patrol team, while monitoring the health conditions of Bilogai Village residents,” he said.
Lucky said the health treatment was carried out by Yonif 509 Kostrad Task Force soldiers from J2 Post. This activity was led directly by the Commander of J2 Post Lieutenant Inf Muh. Fardhana.
“The task of the Infantry Battalion (Satgas Yonif) Raider 509 / Balawara Yudha Kostrad as one of the units of the Habema TNI Operations Command (Koops TNI) is carrying out the task of border security operations (Opspamtas) RI-PNG Cars, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency area,” he concluded.
