
The Regional Government of Yapen Islands Regency, Papua, is truly proud for Ambaidiru coffee, originating from Yapen Island, which has a managed to enter the international market, as seen from its participation in a fair in the City of Milan, Italy.
The fair will run from October 6 to 7, 2023. In connection with this good news, the Regional Secretary of Yapen Islands Regency, Erny Renny Tania during a press release in Jayapura, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, said that by taking part in the fair, local coffee from Papua, especially from Ambaidiru, will be better known abroad.
“Because previously coffee from Ambaidiru had also been introduced in Germany,” she said again.
He also gave appreciation to the team who participated in bringing Ambaidiru coffee to the fair in the City of Milan.
She hoped that in the future the name Ambaidiru coffee will be increasingly known by all circles of society throughout the Land of Papua, as well as Indonesia and even abroad.
In addition, Tania will continue to encourage coffee farmers in the region to develop agricultural businesses by opening new land for farmers.
“Because coffee is one of the main commodities in the Yapen Islands, so we will continue to encourage the development of Ambaidiru coffee,” he added.
Head Roaster at the Jayapura Coffee Table Gasper considered Papuan coffee worthy of appearing in various important events both in Indonesia and abroad.
“We believe Papuan coffee can be known in the national and international arena and it is time for Papuan coffee to enter and be present at prestigious events such as in the City of Milan,” he responded again.
