Jayapura City and Jayapura Regency have natural resources that rival other regions, one of which is a tourist spot whose water is like crystal because of its clarity, which is known as the Kali Biru Genyem (Genyem Blue River). It is a natural pool with clear blue water, with its natural atmosphere remaining picturesque.
There are many tourist attractions like this all over Indonesia, but this one in Papua has its own unique character. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy website, Kali Biru Genyem is a river that has clear turquoise water.
The river forms a natural pool that tourists can use for swimming or just dipping and playing. The water is very clean and clear, allowing tourists to swim to their heart’s content. Even so, visitors need to be careful when swimming, considering that Kali Biru Genyem has a depth of up to 5 metres.
